Dellen Millard, Deathbed Confessions, the Roosevelt Hotel, Blanche Monnier, and the Turpin Children
Review of February 2025 Episodes.
Hi my spooky friends!
Can you believe that February is almost done with? Time goes so fast, especially when you are sitting on a tropical beach. As many of you know, I took a week off to go to a Caribbean resort with Mr. Spooky and a few of our close friends. I love the sun, and needed my batteries charged up. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to do this in.
But even though I was gone for a week, it doesn’t mean that the Horrifying History Universe comes to a dead stop. We released some killer episodes this month, and the first one was about Dellen Millard. I remember this case happening in real time, and when I found out all the details - I felt sick. The thing that amazed me the most is that literally Dellen Millard had it all. He never had to struggle, or try to even find his way in our world. He just wanted what he wanted whenever he wanted it. He definitely is a narcissistic and entitled person, who still is that way even today. Personally, I hope this guy never sees the light of day again outside his prison’s walls.
Our next episode was concerning deathbed confessions, and with me working in healthcare for many years - I have heard a lot of them. I think the worst one was when we had an elderly man admitted for end of life care. He wasn’t the most kind patient we ever had. I think the politest way to describe him was that he was one of the most unkind people that I ever met. He was very mean to his family, and one day his daughter ran out of his room in tears shortly before his death. She told us that her father said that she was not allowed to visit him any longer, but her siblings could. This was because…he was not her father! He refused to give her any more information, and the attending physician wanted us to do a DNA test (just like on Jerry Springer). I had to refuse this test, because it had nothing to do with the patient’s care. The hospital that I worked at was very strict on this, but I was able to find an outside organization that was reasonably priced to do this test for the daughter. Guess what…she was not his daughter after all.
The next episode that came out was on February 19, 2025, and it was about the Roosevelt Hotel. This place is famous in Hollywood’s history, and has seen a lot of things. With this, it shouldn’t be surprising to anyone that some of that history has stayed behind. The spirit that remains that makes me the saddest is the ghost of Marilyn Monroe. If you believe all of the stories; she is actually haunting a lot of different places that she had an emotional connection with. What I wish for is for her to finally rest, as I do the other spirits tied to this famous location.
Our last episode in March had to do with absolutely horrible cases of abuse. In the two cases we spoke about, Blanche Monnier and the Turpin children - it wasn’t abuse that they suffered. It was torture. What is the saddest in all of this that there were clues that something wasn’t right, but no one decided to look into any of it. It goes to show how sneaky and devious those who abuse others are. It also shows that there are people who will see atrocities against others, and will sit by doing nothing to stop it. If there is any lesson to be learned from both of these tales, it is to keep an eye out. If things look off - call the authorities. Personally, I would rather be wrong than allow for abuse to continue.
